In the mid 90's, the founder built a shop and office at his home in which he began operating business. Over the years, he developed long-standing relationships with General Contractors, Property Managers and other business owners in San Diego County. They came to know the company as a reliable, fair, and honest plumbing contractor who always stood behind their work. Services included plumbing for tenant improvement and new commercial construction projects, re-piping, backflow testing and repair, general plumbing service in the commercial space. Clients include commercial, office space, restaurants, manufacturing facilities, health and medical buildings, bio-tech, research facilities, auto dealerships, fitness centers, vet clinics, warehouse/shipping, assisted living facilities, and many others all across San Diego County and occasionally Imperial County.
In 2017, the founder took in a partner to help with the plumbing business. From 2018-2022 they worked diligently in the plumbing field, servicing many commercial accounts with excellent customer service and integrity in a prompt and professional manner. The stall grew from the two partners by adding a full-time apprentice, part-time helper, and part-time office administrator. During this time, 2019-2022, the company’s average sales were over $1 million…then in 2022, they began telling clients the company was soon going to focus on backflow services and no longer take on larger plumbing projects. By the end of 2022 the company staff was reduced to the two partners and a part-time administrator (the admin. worked 8-10 hours/week).
The reason for the cut-back was for the founder to start scaling back and plan for retirement, and the partner would pursue other interests after his partners retirement. Sales in 2023 dropped considerably which was directly related to only the Founder doing most of the field work so many jobs were turned down. The company maintained an excellent reputation in the area and still receives many requests for their services. Clients continue to contact the company wanting them to perform work or request referrals. About half of the 2023 sales were from backflow testing…the other half was fromsmall piping jobs, plumbing service and repair.
The partners truly believe sales could reach $1-2 million per year by hiring more staff, contacting the existing client base, and offering the same quality plumbing services prior to 2023. They have not focused on this because of the retirement plans and other interests.
