The original restaurant, Evelyn’s Big Italian Pizzeria & Ristorante, Fairfield, CA, opened in
2009. Prior to the owner’s Fairfield restaurant, he founded several other successful Italian
restaurant locations. His menu features his signature classic Southern Italian fare with a
little New York twist and attitude. He was born in Avellino, Naples, the same town in Italy
where the Sopranos originated. And he was raised in the Bronx, N.Y. around 187th and
Arthur Avenue near Little Italy.
While in the Big Apple, he founded Starling Pizza. Eventually he moved to Connecticut to
raise a family while operating several other restaurants...it was there he founded Napoli
Pizza, Firenze Pizza, Tropeano #1 and Tropeano #2. He moved to sunny California, as he
knew he could wear shorts year round. He was the original founder of New York Pizza
Kitchen in Napa and Fairfield, Parry’s Pizzeria in American Canyon, Evelyn’s Big Italian
Pizza in Fairfield, and Evelyn’s Big Italian Pizza in Vacaville. He always enjoys seeing
his customers chowing down on his famous family recipes!
